Privacy Policy

AeroWindow is a product of Retra LLC ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the AeroWindow application and website.

Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information.

AeroWindow is designed with privacy in mind. The app does not require user registration or login, does not collect personal data, and does not share any information with third parties.

Anonymous Usage Analytics

AeroWindow collects anonymous, aggregated usage data to help us understand which content is popular and improve the viewing experience. This includes:

  • Which channels and routes are viewed
  • Which routes are saved as favorites
  • Settings preferences (zoom level, sound level)
  • Device type (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, Apple Vision Pro, Android phone or tablet, Google TV, Fire TV) and subscription tier
  • Session duration

This data is:

  • Identified only by a random session ID that is discarded when you close the app
  • Not linked to your Apple ID, Google account, Amazon account, or any personal identifier
  • Not used for advertising or sold to third parties
  • Processed by Cloudflare Workers and stored in Cloudflare R2

No cookies, device fingerprints, or cross-app tracking are used.

Website Analytics

Our website (aerowindow.tv) uses the same Cloudflare Worker described above to record anonymous, aggregated visit data: page views, referrer URL, screen size, language, the platform we infer from your browser's user-agent string (e.g. "iphone", "android", "mac"), and which app-store link you click through to. Each page view is identified only by a random session ID that is discarded when you close the tab. No cookies, no device fingerprints, no cross-site tracking, no personal information.

Map Data

AeroWindow displays satellite imagery from different providers depending on the platform:

  • Apple MapKit on Apple platforms (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, Apple Vision Pro). Map-tile requests go directly from your device to Apple's servers and are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
  • Mapbox on Android, Google TV, and Fire TV. Map-tile requests go directly from your device to Mapbox's servers and are subject to Mapbox's Privacy Policy.

We do not have access to or store any data from these map-tile requests.

In-App Purchases

AeroWindow offers an optional Plus subscription to unlock all channels and remove the idle timeout. Purchases are processed entirely by the platform store you installed from — we never see, collect, or store any payment information:

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Apple MapKit — satellite imagery on Apple platforms. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
  • Mapbox — satellite imagery on Android, Google TV, and Fire TV. See Mapbox's Privacy Policy.
  • Apple App Store, Google Play, and Amazon Appstore — process all in-app purchases for their respective platforms.
  • Cloudflare Workers & R2 — anonymous analytics processing and storage for both the apps and the website. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
  • Bunny.net — content delivery for app configuration and audio assets. See Bunny.net's Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

Anonymous usage analytics are retained for up to 90 days and then automatically deleted. Since no personal information is collected, there is no personal data to retain.

Your Rights

Because AeroWindow does not collect, store, or process any personal information, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. This applies regardless of your location, including under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and similar privacy laws. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties.

Children's Privacy

AeroWindow does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

Attribution & Content

Map Imagery: Satellite imagery is provided by Apple MapKit on Apple platforms and by Mapbox on Android, Google TV, and Fire TV, each subject to its respective terms of use. Provider attribution is displayed within the app.

Narration Content: All narration text, feature descriptions, and editorial content in AeroWindow are original works created by Retra LLC. All rights reserved. This content may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without permission.

Audio: Cabin ambient audio is original content created by Retra LLC.

Accessibility

This website targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. AeroWindow's website is a small landing page whose primary function is to direct visitors to the appropriate platform app store. The apps themselves rely on each platform's native accessibility frameworks — VoiceOver and Dynamic Type on Apple platforms, TalkBack and font scaling on Android, and Voice View on Fire TV.

On this site we have made specific efforts to:

  • Use semantic HTML with a visible "skip to content" link and visible keyboard focus indicators on every interactive element
  • Operate every control via keyboard, including the download dialog (focus trap, escape-to-close, focus restoration to the trigger)
  • Maintain at least a 4.5:1 text-contrast ratio against all backgrounds, including the variable hero video
  • Pause the background video automatically when your operating system requests reduced motion, and expose a manual pause/play toggle on the page
  • Hide decorative imagery from assistive technology via aria-hidden and provide accessible names on icon-only buttons

Known limitations: Some elements on the page (third-party app-store badges, where used) are vendor-supplied images whose color treatment we cannot modify.

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site or inside any of our apps, please email support@aerowindow.tv with the page or screen and a brief description of the problem. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within five business days.
